Waste water treatment plant: Settlement pond

Stable algal biovolume, no chemicals required

Location: Wauchope waste water treatment plant is run by the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council in northern NSW.

Size: The EnviroSonic pontoons are located in the final three settlement ponds on site.

Envirosonic: There are two double mounted solar powered pontoons holding two ES300 units in each the final settlement ponds.

Success: The EnviroSonic units have successfully stablised the algae biovolume in the settlement ponds so that the treated water can be released for local irrigation. No chemicals have been required to control algal blooms since EnviroSonic was installed.
